Illan
Interior
Pendants · Wall Mount
Illan starts as a flat sheet of very thin, flexible plywood, cut by laser into closely spaced concentric lines. Hung from the ceiling, it opens under its own weight into a shape that seems to float. The designer is Zsuzsanna Horvath. The birch grain stays visible, and Luceplan notes the wood varies in character.
About Illan
There are three sizes, 60, 80 and 100 cm across, giving about 1,440, 1,600 and 2,050 lumens at a warm 2700K. The largest is a general-lighting pendant, not an accent.
The Illan wall light, 31 cm across, is clad in wood that Luceplan cuts from the scraps of the pendant sheet. The 80 cm Illan is in our showroom.
