Pendants
Laurent pairs a milk-glass globe with thin brass or aluminum planes, and the result looks like a line drawing that has stepped off the page. The globes are hand-blown by Quebec artisans for Lambert & Fils in Montreal, so each one carries a trace of the hand that made it. Lit, the glass gives a soft glow; switched off, the composition still reads as a small sculpture.
The family is much bigger than one fixture. Lambert & Fils makes more than a dozen Laurent compositions, from a single globe on a slim arm to offset pairs and the larger Atelier pieces, one of them inspired by Charles and Ray Eames’s House of Cards. That range is what makes Laurent so useful at home: a single pendant over a reading chair, a cluster over a dining table, a tall composition dropped through a stairwell.
We carry the full Laurent collection, not just the version shown here. If you’re weighing sizes or drop heights, or trying to picture how a composition will sit in your room, get in touch or book a showroom visit and we’ll work through it with you.
