Edmondo Testaguzza, who has worked with Karman for years from his own studio, thinks of Opium as a suspended architecture: glass spheres of different sizes overlapping in a balance of solids, voids and transparencies.

About Opium

The LED is built into the central body, and the light spreads softly through clear or frosted Pyrex. The metal comes in gold or semi-glossy aluminum, and clusters can be composed to suit the space.

Ask us and we’ll help you plan the cluster.

About

Karman
Karman, founded in 2005 in Fossombrone, Italy, makes lighting in an unusually wide range of materials, from ceramic and blown glass to fibreglass, resin and linen. Many of its pieces start with a joke, like the ceramic animals of the Karman Zoo. Flux Lighting carries the full Karman range in Ottawa.
