Edmondo Testaguzza and Matteo Ugolini designed Embeè around the black sheep. Karman takes it as “a voice outside the flock”: not someone to leave out, but someone who chooses to stand out.
About Embeè
The sheep come in matt white or black resin as pendants and table lamps, so a single black one can sit in a group of white. Karman pairs it with Stick, an aluminum table lamp whose soft, focused light falls on the sheep.

About
Karman
Karman, founded in 2005 in Fossombrone, Italy, makes lighting in an unusually wide range of materials, from ceramic and blown glass to fibreglass, resin and linen. Many of its pieces start with a joke, like the ceramic animals of the Karman Zoo. Flux Lighting carries the full Karman range in Ottawa.
