Cell
Exterior, Interior
Pendants · Table & Floor Lamps
Karman says Matteo Ugolini based Cell on the structure and spirit of the Chinese lantern: a frame of metal thread with a glowing linen shade, finished with a silk tassel.
About Cell
It comes as pendants, table and floor lamps in white or bronze, with a black tassel on the bronze. The outdoor versions swap the linen for an acrylic shade, so a lantern can hang on a covered porch as well as over a bed.
Karman’s 2023 project book shows Cell in a Saint-Tropez home and under a pergola at a villa in Mallorca.

About
Karman
Karman, founded in 2005 in Fossombrone, Italy, makes lighting in an unusually wide range of materials, from ceramic and blown glass to fibreglass, resin and linen. Many of its pieces start with a joke, like the ceramic animals of the Karman Zoo. Flux Lighting carries the full Karman range in Ottawa.
