Table & Floor Lamps
Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni designed Arco in 1962, the year Flos began. It’s a floor lamp that does a pendant’s job: a polished aluminum reflector at the end of a stainless-steel arc, held by a block of white Carrara marble.
Flos says the brothers borrowed the idea from street lighting. The arc reaches over a dining table or a sofa, so you get light from above without a ceiling box. The reflector swivels and its height adjusts. The complete lamp weighs over 60 kilograms by Flos’s figures, and the marble has a hole through it so the lamp can be carried on a pole. Flos makes Arco with a screw-in bulb or as Arco LED.
We carry both versions. Ask us and we’ll help you check the reach for your room.
